What is cMFGx?
cMFGx, short for Contract Manufacturing Exchange, is a web-based procurement application that connects custom parts buyers with contract manufacturers.
In it's simplest form, our exchange gives buyers the tools they need to efficiently generate and distribute Request For Quotes (RFQs) to a network of suppliers.
In addition, suppliers have access to a tool-set that enables them to quickly search for, evaluate and quote released RFQs.
Finally, buyers can quickly view and compare supplier quotes and issue purchase orders.
This process flow serves as the backbone of our application, but it is enhanced by a variety of additional features that enable buyers and suppliers to streamline procurement.
Our Mission
To provide an easy-to-use and affordable online procurement application where:
a) Buyers can improve the custom parts procurement process by utilizing our web application to conduct business online.
b) Suppliers can advertise their services, search for & access RFQs that are in line with their capabilities and acquire new customers.
Grassroots Approach
Our founders grew up working in a jobshop and developing web applications. Our own experiences have led to the creation of cMFGx and we want it to be a valuable resource for all who use it.
We are not trying to reinvent the wheel, we're just harnessing the power of the internet to improve upon the traditional RFQ-to-Quote-to-Order process, while offering a few extra bells and whistles for buyers and suppliers.
